In the months leading up to Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, Broward AWARE! is presenting a series of book readings. Since February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, this month’s book is "C is for Consent.” We hope you will use and share these recordings. Come back each month for a new book!

Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month Food Giveaway & Resource Fair - Feb. 18, 2022 | 5-7 PM

Women In Distress, in partnership with Broward AWARE!, is holding a Food Giveaway & Resource Fair event in honor of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Local organizations will be present to distribute resources for youth and families in the community. Food distribution while supplies last.

 

 

2nd Annual Prevention Summit - February 15, 2022

 

This virtual conference will provide information on prevention philosophy and will offer breakout sessions on an array of issues affecting young people today. Attendees will gain a greater understanding of the obstacles youth face and will learn about tools and techniques available to help them support youth through their work.

Hosted by Women In Distress (WID) in honor of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month in collaboration with speakers from Goodman Jewish Family Services of Broward County, the Nancy J. Cotterman Center, Pace Center for Girls Broward, and OIC of South Florida!

(3 General CE credit hours will be offered for professionals with licenses under the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling.)
