- Chair
Dawn Liberta started her career in child welfare with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) in 1998 as a case manager, working directly with children and families in the child protection system. She later transitioned to ChildNet, the lead community based-care organization, when Florida’s child welfare system became privatized. Dawn worked with ChildNet for 15 years in various management positions until she was promoted to program officer over case management and intake and placement. In this capacity, Dawn was able to develop and maintain strong partnerships with local social service organizations and community stakeholders. In 2018, Dawn accepted a new role as DCF’s Community Development Administrator for Broward County. Dawn has a bachelor’s degree in social work from Florida Atlantic University and received a master’s degree in business from Kaplan University.
